ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to Presta Products’ sales growth we are seeking a Technical Sales Representative in the following areas – Chicago, IL and Baltimore, MD. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in sales, excellent presentation and product demonstration skills and the desire for increased earnings and personal growth. Extensive travel is required. We are looking for someone with experience in the automotive aftermarket or paint, body and equipment industry.
 
Position Summary:
  • The individual in this position must be able to make effective product demonstrations to grow sales, travel as required, will primarily work with Jobber Sales Reps making body shop sales calls, and help with product training.
  • Must make effective product demonstrations for the purpose of growing sales in body shops, paint jobber stores, warehouse distributors and PBE tech centers.
  • Work daily with customer sales personnel and regional manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Ability to train Jobber sales reps, manufacturer reps, warehouse and jobber techs, body shop personnel on how to sell and use Presta Products properly
  • Willingness to travel extensively in regional territory, with occasional National trips (also in inclement weather)
  • Support Regional and National tradeshows as needed
  • Work with the Presta National Sales Manager to develop annual goals and growth targets 
  • Send call reports from field activity, competitive information, product and promotion ideas and industry information and changes to Presta National Sales Manager.
Requirements:
  • Person must be assertive and able to identify sales opportunities, system problems and present solutions
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Experience with waterborne and solvent based paints is a plus.
  • Must be self motivated and self disciplined. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow-up is critical. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, outward and upward.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the automotive aftermarket or PBE industry.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is a plus. 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
